This tutorial was written in loving memory of a great tuber Patries.
You will be missed by the whole graphics community.

 

1: Place both masks in your mask folder.

Set your foreground to #c4cfd6 and your background to #708c9c. Then set your foreground to the foreground/background gradient with the following settings. Angle 45, repeats 1 style linear. Invert is checked. Settings remain the same unless noted.

2: Open a new transparent canvas 700X525 transparent and fill with the gradient.

3: Layers duplicate.

Layers, load/save mask from disk. Locate the dmssplash mask and apply with the following settings.

Right click on the mask layer. Merge, merge group. Adjust, sharpness, sharpen.

4: Layers, new raster layer. Fill with the background colour.

5: Layers duplicate.

Layers, load/save mask from disk. Locate the Furl 01 mask and apply with the same settings as in 3.

Right click on the mask layer. Merge, merge group. Adjust, sharpness, sharpen more.

Layers, duplicate. Image mirror. X out the duplicate mask layer and click on the original Furl 01 mask layer to make it active.

6: Selections, select all, selections, float, selections defloat.

Layers new raster layer.

7: Open the Misted By Sorensen_Designs Swan Duet Tube May 144-08 tube. Making sure the tube layer is active click on the bar at the top, copy. Back to working canvas. Paste into selection. Selections select none.

Adjust, hue and saturation, colorize with the following settings.

Lower the opacity to 75%.

Effects, plugins, FM Tile Tools Blend Emboss with the default settings.

Layers, merge, merge down.

Effects, 3D effects drop shadow with the following settings.

Reapply drop shadow using - (minus) 5 at vertical and horizontal.

9: Take the X off the top duplicate layer and make it active.

Selections, select all, selections float. Selections defloat.

Layers new raster layer. Edit, paste into selection. (The  Misted By Sorensen_Designs Swan Duet Tube May 144-08 tube should still be in the memory. If not follow instructions as in 8) Selections, select none. Colorize as in 8.

Lover the opacity to 75% and apply the FM Tile Tools as before.

Layers, merge, merge down.

Apply both drop shadows as in 8.

10: Using the eraser carefully remove the lines indicated below so as the image looks as if it's all one layer.

11: Open the patrie_woman_nigth tube. Making sure the tube layer is active, click on the bar at the top, copy. Back to working canvas. paste as a new layer.

Image, resize 90% bicubic making sure all layers is not checked. Position as in main graphic. Adjust, sharpness, sharpen. Apply both drop shadows as in 8 but lower the opacity to 25.

12: Open the 1Patries_VA70-CLLlamp aqua-18-4-11 tube. Making sure the tube layer is active, click on the bar at the top, copy. Back to working canvas. paste as a new layer.

Image, resize 45% bicubic making sure all layers is not checked. Colorize as in 8. Adjust, sharpness, sharpen. Apply both drop shadows as in 8 but change the opacity back to 50.

13: Open the 1Patries_BL83_Vase-Mixed-Flowers-23-2-09 tube. Click on the bar at the top, copy. Back to working canvas. Paste as a new layer. Position as in the main graphic. Colorize as in 8 and apply both drop shadows as in 8.

14: When you are happy where everything is merge all, flatten.

15: Image add borders 1 background colour.

16: Image add borders 1 foreground colour.

17: Repeat step 15.

18: Image add borders 30 white. Select with the magic wand feather and tolerance set at zero. Fill with the gradient.

19: Layers new raster layer.

Selections, select all.

20: Open the dmspatriesframe. Click on the bar at the top, copy. Back to working canvas. Paste into selection.

Selections, select none.

21: Image, add borders 1 background colour.

22: Add your watermark and any text you may require. Resize if you wish and save as a jpg. You are all done.
