Our Tribute to Missy (Baby)
Missy takes a rest Ruling
the roost
Missy was a spur of the moment purchase that brought so much love and happiness to our home during the 10 1/2 years she was with us.
We will never forget the little Minx. Her love for rawhide shoes, (small not large) brown (would not touch the white ones.) Her love for chasing our cats, (and snuggling up with her two favorites, Lucky and Smokey.) Her big brown eyes. Her soft, floppy ears. Her unconditional love.
I will never forgive myself for what we had to do at the end, but Baby it was for the best. Hope you know that.
Thank you to Dr. John, Wilma, Jennifer, Emilia and everyone at Maplewood in Milton who tried so hard to save her. You will never know how much your kindness meant.
God bless you Baby!
Love always Mum, Dad, Gary, Mark, Lucky, Moe, Patches, Molly and Smokey, (AKA Grayson)
The Missing Friend
It's almost time for sunrise,
A new day will begin.
Something today is not quite right,
But it's still not sunken in.
I look towards your basket,
My tears they fall like rain,
Where is our little Missy?
I start to feel the pain.
The tears are still coming,
I'm not ashamed to cry.
Dear God I have to ask you,
Why did you make our friend die?
She was still only 10,
A our baby and our friend.
We tried so hard to save her,
Why did it have to end?
Sent to bring us happiness and love,
To bring smiles to our face.
Sent to bring us memories,
That nothing can erase.
Through my tears I wonder,
Is this all a dream?
Then the answer comes to me,
You were only on loan it seems.
Although I'll always miss you,
There's no more need to cry.
I know you‘re chasing squirrels,
Near the Mill Pond in the sky.
