Missy Memories

This section is for good memories only. Yes there, were many and I will add to them over time, but here is just a few to start with.

Diane's Memories

Missy loved to play in the snow. She was such a snow baby. Never mind how deep it was she was put her face down and plough her way through it.

Walking by the Mill Pond here in town. Her favorite place for sure.

I loved to watch her after a bath. She would go nuts. Rubbing her face and her whole body across the floor and making the cutest, and yes funniest noises I ever heard.

Having her lay on me while I was watching TV. Yep she was a heavy girl when she was healthy. Well heavy for her size. It was still great to snuggle with her and feel her heart beating and her gentle breath on my face.

Seeing her chase cats. Her favorite sport.

Seeing her playing with Grayson. He was the only cat who would ever really play with her. He loved to wrestle with her. Never once did they hurt each other. They just had fun.

How she always loved to eat anything, and I do mean anything.

How she smelled after being groomed.

The long walks we went on together.

Her love and devotion to the whole family.

Her love for rawhide shoes. (Brown only. She hated the white ones.)

Cuddling with Lucky and seeing them wash each other.

Playing with her only real dog friend, Snowy.

These are my memories of Missy...

By Gary

- I would be sleeping downstairs and I would hear a

knock at the door and then I would look out the door

jump out of bed and there would be Missy, she would

quickly run past me and lay on my bed rubbing her head

in my pillows.

- I would be sleeping and I would move and Missy who

liked to protect everyone bit my feet when I moved.

- When Missy was young she would chase her tail

around.

- I would always take Missy with me to get the paper

and she would run as I tried to keep warm.

- When I went back to Canada in 2003 Missy went mad

happy to see me again and was jumping up my legs and

followed me around letting me know she still

remembered me.

- The walks around the pond which she liked

- The times I would look at the newspaper and Missy

would come and lay on it.

- The times I played with her and I got told off for

teasing her as she would end up biting me. yet I still

played with her until she bit me.

- The times I would take the ice cream baseball hats

and put them on her to make it look like she was

wearing a baseball hat.

- The times she would chase the cat and slip across

the kitchen

- I remember the times when she would lick Marks toes.

- Her baths when she would drag herself across the

floor.

- How excited she got about the Montreal Expos,

(SEGUI)

- I remember the times dad would torment her and then

bite him. he

- Most of all I remember how loyal and loving she was.

She would always come to you if you called her unless

she was eating a bone. She used to sleep beside me

every night. She still does as I have a picture of her

that my mum and dad brought over to England I keep

beside my bed that is one of the most important things

I have. I always think of Missy and as we spent a lot

of time together. At least she is happy and healthy

now. I miss you Missy.
