Unsung Heroes

There were so many heroes on 9/11/2001. For each one we heard of so many went un-noticed. This tutorial is dedicated to one of these unsung heroes. Her name is Suzette. A tiny Papillon who helped calm the children at one of the piers while they waited for news of missing parents.

I did make the tubes used. Please do not any change the file names. Thank you.

1: Open a new canvas 450X400

2: Flood fill 4thofjuly gradient included in the zip Angel 25, repeats 3 invert is not checked.

Adjust blur Gaussian 10.

Lower the opacity to 50%

3: Open the DMSWTC tube. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place towards the top right as in my main graphic. Lower the opacity to 75.

4: Open the DMScryingeagle tube. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place towards the top left as in my main graphic. Lower the opacity to 75.

5: Open the DMSSuzette tube. Copy and past as a new layer on the working canvas.

Image resize by 65% making sure all layers is not checked.

Place towards the bottom left as in my main graphic.

6: Effects, 3D effects drop shadow with the following settings:

7:  When you are happy with the positioning of everything merge all, flatten.

8: Image add borders 2 using #C00000

9: Image add borders 4 using #0000C0

10: Image add borders 2 using #C00000

11: Selections, select all. Selections modify, contract by 6. Selections invert. Apply the following inner bevel twice.  Select none.

12: Resize at this point if you wish.

13: Add any text you require using the same drop shadow as used on Suzette and you are all done.
